What is the difference between Driver Awareness Ltd. and 'Advanced' or 'Defensive' Driving Schools?

• Driver Awareness Ltd. is NOT a driving school and is not meant for learner drivers. It concentrates on the psychological rather than the physical aspects of driving.
    
• Its uniqueness is that it is based on Police V.I.P. Protection Driving Techniques, adapted for use by the everyday motorist. We believe that there are no more important VIP's than you and your passengers.
    
• It does not matter what kind of a vehicle you are driving - from a 30-ton truck to a van or a car, (or even a pedal cycle); driver thinking and attitudes are the same for everyone.
    
• Organisations teaching 'advanced' or even 'defensive' driving have been around for many years and have therefore been part of, and have overseen, so-called 'Road Safety' schemes in which 9 people have been killed, and approximately 120 people seriously injured every single day on British roads! Those are appalling statistics from which Driver Awareness Ltd. completely disassociates itself.
    
• We advise drivers (making them aware) by passing on information and changing attitudes because we advocate that, if you sort out your mental skills, the physical ones will look after themselves, and IT WORKS!
    
• The government has recently stated that all drivers should be psychologically tested and trained but they don't have the skills to put this recommendation into action. Meanwhile, the statistics for road deaths mount.
    
• We DO HAVE THESE SKILLS and, unlike other organisations, we are not under any political influence and are free to discuss driving matters without fear of financial pressures.
    
• Our clients are invited to physically drive but can learn more just by sitting, listening and watching from the passenger seats.
